The all new Canon EF 40 mm STM Pancake

Published June 23rd, 2012

Canon introduced its first Pancake Lens for its dSLR cameras. The Canon EF 40mm with stepper motor technology.

I took the lens outside and took a few shots. The shots are not processed aside from the standard Lightroom RAW Conversion.

I have been waiting to buy the 35 1.4L.

Can I save myself some(lots) of money with this lens or is the 35 so much superior?

Thank you for your comments, Amy! I've added two more pictures. Unfortunately, no portrait as I'm not very good in shooting portraits. But I think with the lens it's definitely worth trying. :)
