It was May 2011 when I bought my first SLR. At the beginning I just wanted better snapshots. I didn't know a thing about composition, technique, or equipment. The idea of processing photos rubbed me the wrong way. It was never more than a compulsion to record memories. Since then, I've taken it farther and farther, and I'm still going. Over time I've realized that through photography, I can convey more than just where I was, but what I felt. And the process of taking photos is something I've come to enjoy. I hope to continue my progress and get into medium format color film photography soon. I also hope to really begin to nail my post-processing work, which is still a bit sloppy.                   My landscape photos are taken in the underrated wildernesses of the Adirondacks, the White Mountains, and other spots in New England and New York. Recently, while in school, I've taken several photos around the city as well. I hope to get back to my true passion, photographing nature, over the summer, and I'll try next year of uni to get into the mountains more often.
