Hello, my name is Martýn Alexandro. You may remember me from sites such as Flickr and JPG Mag :) Now, seriously, I'm a totally amateur photographer -the eternal amateur-, showing some pictures that I've taken through the years. I know that I won't be the next Helmut Newton -or anything like that- but I did take some good photographs. When I'm shooting I transform myself, I forget the world and all that I have in mind is the objective and what's beyond the camera. I like "organic" photographs, so, not that much post-processing [I seldom open them in PhotoShop, just in LightRoom]. I know they may look better with more post-processing but, that's just not my cup of tea. I really hope you like what you see and, please, do not hesitate to ask me whatever you may want to know or to criticize whatever you don't like (well-intentioned, constructive criticism is always welcome), and, please, don't hold yourself from telling me if you find anything that you really like as well. Thank you again for stopping by and have a nice day! Please like our facebook page www.facebook.com/timestopping and you'll get some freebies... P.S.: In case you feel generous enough and want to spend some bucks on my work, you can buy my ^timestoppoing book here http://www.macs.com.ar/book P.S.S.: You can also buy any of the pictures here http://www.500px.com/macs

Cuitat Vella (Old City)

Published November 2nd, 2012

I just love Ciutat Vela (Old City) in Barcelona.

Yes, I live here and, yes, I may be biased, but I just love it.

The Gótic Quarter, the Born, all has a charm that's not common, IMHO, in any other part of the world.

It's just great to see how the old perfectly melts with the modern.

It's magic just to wander thru it's narrow -almost- pedestrian only streets.

During the day -summer and winter alike- they all burst with people -tourist and locals alike- window shopping and in the terraces of the myriad of bars that are in this area of "La Cuitat Comtal".

During the night, as soon as the sun goes down, people from all sorts of origins populate the terraces while others just wander around the place. It seems that the place never sleeps at all,

From the Cathedral to the shops, from the narrow streets to its terraces all has a charm that I haven't seen anywhere else... (It's not Paris, nor London, I know, but, be sure, it has charm in is it's own right)

From my Balcony

Published August 5th, 2012

Moving houses is always traumatic. This one was no exception.

Don't get me wrong, I'm more than happy now that it's done, but it was a pain in the neck doing it.

One of the things I love the most of my new apartment, is that, from the balcony I have a full view of one of the most commercial streets here in Barcelona.

These four pictures are an example of the Views From my Balcony.

No the best pictures of all times, but, enough to give you an idea :)

Cameras...

Published November 19th, 2011

It's funny.

It's very funny.

But, as time passes, I'm getting better and better cameras, nonetheless, the best pictures I had, were done with the my old FujiFilm E900 Zoom.

Thus, I can fairly say that, this one, was the best camera ever :)
