Hello, I am Robert Maissan. I live in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. I’ve been photographing for a long time already, but since 2008 I started to be more serious about it. In photography I can express my feelings, it inspires me. I am interested in people and want to photograph them in the best possible way. I also like to capture shapes and lines and like playing with light and colours. Photographing models, animals, interiors and architecture is what I like most, as well as macro and tabletop photography and editing pictures in Photoshop and HDR imaging. Rotterdam is a nice place to live as a photographer, with the beautiful skyline. There are a lot of events, like the Summer Carnival, Le Grand Départ 2010 and the World Port Days which I photograph. Through this site I hope to learn from the work of my colleague photographers, but the most important is to enjoy photography. I am curious to know what you think about my work, so let me know.
