I'm an amateur photographer who takes pictures across a wide variety of subjects, focusing mainly on landscapes and the natural world.
I take photos mainly to relax and to learn. Edward Munch once said, "I don't paint what I see – but what I saw". I take the same view of photography, and will seek to apply this idea to the photographs I take.
To achieve this I undertake some post processing of my work using my iPad though I plan to migrate to Adobe Lightroom shortly. I keep this processing light of touch, focusing on tone, contrast and sharpening to get the best from each image without drastically changing the results. My goal is to improve by getting the shot right 'in camera'.
