Inspired to artistic endeavors from birth by a writer/artist mother and photographer/musician/fireman father, Michael T. McNerney learned the basics of photography using a c.1912 box Brownie and processing the film next to the washing machine in the basement. Mostly self taught (with a few classes and seminars here and there), McNerney's ability to visualize unique aspects in his subjects has molded the style you see today in his images. McNerney has a special interest in nature and landscape/waterscape photography, but his body of work also includes architecture, slice-of-life and abstract visions.
