I am passionate about black-and-white photography, especially landscape and still life. The amazing power of photography is not only in capturing a precious moment that would otherwise last mere milliseconds, but mainly in providing a completely different perspective of the world. Photography reveals dimensions that would otherwise remain hidden from us. And for me, photography is about uncovering those dimensions and expressing how I see the world around me.
I have always believed that photography is much more about your eyes than about your kit. And I realised that one can find exceptional visual beauty in ordinary things. It is about seeing them in a new way and being able to translate that into a photograph. I wish I knew how to do it consistently -- it is a journey that never ends.
I prefer to work in black-and-white as it allows me to draw viewer's attention to the motive and the mood of the picture. Most of my work is still-life, landscape and architecture.
I admire work of photographers like Josef Sudek, Andre Kertesz, Josef Koudelka, John Blakemore and many others.
