Nicola was born in 1970.
His daddy devolved him the passion for photography. He was a teenager when started developing his black & white pictures in a dark room. He had the chance to taking photographs on quality machines such Leicaflex SL, and bi-optic Rolleiflex.
His training has been essentially self-taught: experimenting, reading, watching, and especially photographing.
After graduation, he had his very first SLR: Canon Eos 650. It was 1989, and Nicola choose Canon because of its forefront autofocus system (and of course he didn’t have enough money for a Leica!). Since then, he have been almost faithful to the japanese red logo company.
In 2004 Nicola started using digital technology with Canon Eos 350D (Digital Rebel XT). Being passionate in IT and computers, this transition wasn’t too traumatic for him; but, having grown up with film, Nicola still have a great love for this type of support.
So he use both technologies, using film for black and white and developing it in the dark room by himself.
