I am Irish, eldest of six . My mother was told by a fortune teller that I would be a photographer. So at the age of 19 I became a money broker in the city of London. After 10 years of city living I needed balance in my life. Photography became my yang! Black and white Street photography became my passion; Don McCullin my inspiration. The reverence and mood in his images affected me tremendously . One day I visited the BBC Wildlife Awards exhibition at the Natural History Museum; Cherry Alexander’s ,Blue iceberg was the winning image. It was an uplifting experience and one I would repeat every year . Little did I know the profound effect it would have on my life in later years . In 2001 , Africa became the new chapter in my life. The sheer size and magnitude of this continent was overwhelming.I travelled the forests of Bwindi to the peaks of KIlimanjaro and Mount Kenya , the shores of Lake Malawi and the red dunes of the Kalahari . With the dawn of the digital age and the solitude I found in the wilderness of Africa It was a natural progression to concentrate on a new genre of photography ,wildlife and landscape. For the last five years I have ben honing my skills and applying some of my previous learnt techniques for my new life of a Fine Art Photographer.
