On my last summer vacation to Colorado, it was cloudy a lot of the time but it didn't stop us from subjecting ourselves to a long, brutal, dangerous and nerve-racking ride up to Yankee Boy Basin. There was a creepy silence in the air, almost like landing on the moon. To add to the weird vibe, the thunder overhead seems to get my attention more since we were at such high altitudes. The only thing that took the edge off was the sprawling scenery laid out before my camera. Two exposures masked together, one for the sky and one for the earth.
