Taken back in 2008, this Katmai coastal brown bear was having a field day digging for clams in the sand.. It also was performing a ritual of sorts - dig for clams, sit down, lay down, take a nap - then it would start the "ritual" all over again. In between it all, knowing that we were nearby photographing it, it would look up at us to see what we were doing.
Is it just me, or does this bear and its pose, look like it was taken at the Olin Mills Studio for bears? :-)
Such a pose!
