I love walking around San Francisco's historic Chinatown. In our modern world where everything is impersonal, technologic, and distant, Chinatown remains a vibrant hub of human interaction - a testament to a simpler and more carefree time. Although at first glance Chinatown may seem a collection of gift stores and Dim Sum restaurants, look further and you will see that Chinatown is actually comprised of a range of characters. These characters are what drives Chinatown's hustle and bustle. Although many of them are elderly, they all have unique stories to tell. I want to visually express their stories through my photography.
