Probably some degree of truth in both those statements. ;) There's a steep, loose scramble path down from the prominent viewpoint where most folks take their photos of this falls, but not something I'd have attempted on my own. Took a few butt slides and grabbing onto sword ferns for handholds to get down there; an easier time coming back up but still a bit on the harrowing side. Definitely worth a go if you're cautious and with a partner. Cheers!
