In this way is described the carmine shade, which spreads on this monochrome. Autumn is coming, and soon, 500px will be blooming with colorful canopies. Let's venture off the beaten track today. These colors are from the famous festival of autumn in Japan, called Koyo. These maple leaves are around the Eikando temple, in Kyoto. I'm not the kind of photographer to be inspired by trees (apart from using them as vertical shapes for a composition), but in the case of the Koyo, the leaves are a playing field. Every day is different, and every step gives you a new reflection, a new shade. You go amid a foliage and you let the emotion coming (and going). This series on autumn leaves is one of my most intuitive work done to date. Just look through the viewfinder as though this one is the stage for an opera. A heartbeat stronger than the others in your chest? At once, take the photo. Nothing else to do. Almost.
