This was taken on one of King Ranch's Properties in Indian Town Florida. I had gone down to do some landscapes of the area and this was my last day there. The skies had been really drab most of the day save for an hour or so of big puffy white clouds at straight up noon.

However, I was waiting for the ambient light to drop a little bit so that I could do some photography of a building with all it's lights on, and decided to walk out to this field. The skies had drastically changed. There was a storm on it's way and the clouds were pushing through to my location.

I didn't have a tripod with me for this, and didn't want to risk missing the scene trying to get my tripod from the car several hundred yards away so I autobracketed 3 frames at 1-stop difference.

This photo has NOT been tonemapped, but has been creatively masked manually in photoshop using all three exposures. It was converted to black and white in Nik Software's Silver Efex Pro 2 and some of the contrast was added while the image was still in color using Nik Software's Color Efex Pro.
