A waxing gibbous moon crests over Mt. Hood's apex just as she concedes the last light of dusk to the western horizon. I almost let this shot go as the evening temperatures dropped into the 50s Fahrenheit with strong westerly winds whipping about at 30+ mph. Not knowing when I'd have this opportunity again, though, I swapped out my wide angle lens for the 100mm and let fly a few frames just as Luna assumed her place atop her throne. I drew a bit of inspiration for this one from the iconic face of the Movado museum watch.
