Jim's head was in this shot. Javier's head was in this shot. Kendra's head was in this shot. Diego's head was in this shot. There were LOTS of photographers for the annual lighting of the fresnel lens at Pigeon Point. It took me a LONG time to clone them all out.... especially Jim, who's particularly large head was exceptionally difficult.

For those of you that aren't familiar with this event: Once a year (or every other year depending on funding), the Pigeon Point lighthouse in California changes out of their modern light and brings the old Fresnel lens back for a few hours. Better still, they freeze it for five minutes just for us photographers so that we can capture the beams.

It was a bit of a scramble, trying to figure out the best settings to use, as it was a bunch of trial and error. At around 30 seconds per exposure, you don't get too many opportunities to get it right. I had a great time meeting some fun people, and witnessing a really neat event.
