This architecture was designed and temporalily built with inspiration from the Peak of Mount Meru in the legend of Ramayana as a place of God and angels.
This photo, taken in special event, shows beauty of the royal funeral pyre (phra meru) that was built up temporarily at "Sanam Luang" or The Royal Field during the royal cremation of Her Royal Highness Princess Bejraratana Rajasuda near the Grand Palace (Wat Pra Kheaw).
