Sunday, being a super hot day, there were watches out for severe thunderstorms. Even though a fellow photographer and I cancelled the day's plans to go shooting I couldn't resist the urge to go do some storm chasing. After all, my car has A/C and my house's A/C was having troubles keeping up with the heat. So I took to the roads. My first stop was to meet up with another good friend to is lending me her 100-400mm until further notice! Here is the first one I got on my storm chasing adventures. The skies were alive with drama and I was driving all over the place to find photo opportunities. When I found this field of bales and then this one bale that is partially "blown out" from some of the wrapping having let go I found my first photo opp. It was a great trip out and I got several photos I am quite happy with.
