Encounters with wildlife aren’t always experiences that are memorable for good reasons, and this abandoned Coot chick is a perfect example of when wildlife photography can tug at the heart strings of animal lovers everywhere.

Cindy, if I had been on my home patch I'd have been inclined to try and do something but as it stood, the circumstances of my location dictated otherwise. It's very tough when you come across something like this, and we'd all like to help animals in need but on this occasion that wasn't possible. Just for reference, I didn't follow it around with my camera, all shots were taken from a stationary position that I was already set up in before I noticed the little fella.
Sometimes wildlife isn't all happy and nice, and that was why I posted the story to my blog, because it's the natural world and things like this happen from time to time :(
The blog post was good to read - nature can be hard though.
