Before photography my passion was piano, the violin... beautiful classical music! When I was in high school my piano teacher really wanted me to become a concert pianist, he always told me it was his goal to get one of his students to that level- and for whatever reason he chose me. For reasons I wish never happened, piano and violin has since left my life, and as corny as it sounds apart of me died when I stopped playing. But then photography came along and I feel the life restored in me...

This is actually the violin my mom used to play on when she was 5 years old. This is part of a mother's day present for my mom, I hope she likes it <3

it was scary getting on that rock... especially since the sun had just set and the tide was coming in really quickly. I set the camera to self-timer and rushed to get on the rock when I miserably watched the tide come in super close and wash over my clothes and camera equipment. I had no choice but to walk back to my car wearing nothing but the green piece of fabric and carrying 50+ lbs of camera equipment and walking up 100 steps...alone. Photography is a GREAT workout!! Thank god a nice stranger helped me carry everything up!
