As I mentioned we have visited Neuschwanstein Castle over the weekend. Unfortunately our first day was really stormy, so we could only see the inside of the beautiful castle. With my son, I wanted to hike up to Marionbrucke, the famous vantage point to take photos of the castle, despite the rain. We could only walk about 500m up on the hill when the rain suddenly stopped, and at an overlook we could catch a glimpse of this incredible view, just as the sun was about to break through the clouds, enlightening the smaller brother of Neuschwanstein, the Hohenschwangau Castle (depicted on the left in this pic, you can also see the glimpse of the lake in the middle). It was haze everywhere, but we waited tripod ready for the right moment when the castle is actually coming out of the steam (it was completely covered at times), and finally secured the shot. (3 bracketed exposures as usual, gently cooked:-).
