Sunrise over a solitary sand dune in a massive dry salt pan in South Africa's Kalahari Desert. Many of the creatures that call this magical arid place their home wander around at night to escape the scorching heat of the day, as was evident by the fresh tracks I found in the sand right before dawn. I included them as part of the story of this photograph.
