We were in the north of Iceland in the Lake Myvatn region. We were having our dinner around 9:30 pm & could see the sun, which still had couple of hours to dip below the horizon, had started painting the sky with bold brush strokes of Yellow Ochre & Alizarin Crimson. Between every few morsels, we would jump out of the restaurant, click a few images in the chilly evening & come back inside with a silly smile & cold cheeks. After dinner we drove out hunting for a suitable location. Around 11 pm, the sun said Sayonara to Myvatn, as we reached a farm, which had the lake as it backdrop & freshly cut & packed hay bales. Perfect destination at last! Just one small deterrent....the farm fence had live electricity running through it! I unwittingly had tried to cross one, a few days back & it was a hair raising experience to put it mildly! :-) We jumped carefully, very carefully & ran towards the bales, bracketed three exposures of one of the most brilliant crimson sunset!
