This photo was made near the Albany Bulb near Berkeley, California. The old pier with Mount Tamalpais and moon setting in the background is a four minute exposure. The red'ish warm light on the pier wood is from mercury vapor lights behind me at the horse race track. I've been watching this for some time. There is a five minute window about 40 minutes after sunset, where the twilight sky and the sodium vapor light are in balance, and the right date for a moon set just after sunset.
