In the valley, nestling between two old mountain ranges of the Blue Ridge. Everything here is feeling its age. This town has a history. It remembers the "colonials". It remembers Stonewall Jackson's "Valley Campaign".

Now it hangs on trying to gain a foothold in the 21st Century will maintaining its past. I was pleased to see one of the abandoned buildings on a previous trip now was a Winery and MicroBrewery.

I'll drink to that. The food at the Depot will keep the town alive if nothing else. It is worth the trip....and of course a drink at the turn of the 20th Century bar.
