Great image. But you asked for critique, right? I think the image would have looked even better if you would have chosen a foreground that is less "chaotic" such as a lake or a landscape scenery. Although this tension between the erratic foreground and the symmetric background is a nice combination, I believe that the message of your image would have been stronger with a calmer foreground.

Thanks for the comment! I would definitely love a better foreground, but for the circumstances I was in this was the best I could get. I continue to look out for good places to take startrails though, hopefully another will come soon :)

this is so beautiful, very well composed and thought of. Like the details on the stones and way you have picked up the frame. Next time, may be you can try putting somebody (may be yourself :-) ) in the frame to introduce even more interesting..cheers..
