While in the Masai Mara I came upon a female lion walking and I could tell she had recently given birth. After a few minutes of following her at a distance she disappeared into thick brush. A few minutes later she came out carrying one of her lion cubs. I wasn't expecting such a scene so I quickly fired off some shots with the setup I had ready...a Canon 1DX with a Canon 800mm lens. Obviously the shot is pretty tight -- it's not a crop! Luckily one of the frames wasn't cut off.
