I headed out in the early evening of the 4th of July this year anticipating a great fireworks show in the San Diego Bay. I went to Coronado Island to the beach facing toward downtown after 45minutes of hunting for a parking spot.

At 5 to 9 a huge firework went off that none of the spectators had expected. It was ahead of time and it was gigantic. Apparently, there was a software glitch or computer malfunction causing all fireworks to go off at once. The show lasted 15 seconds instead of 20 minutes and all I got was pretty pictures of the city's skyline.
