McKenna was born with Jacobsen’s Syndrome, a very rare genetic disorder that resulted in a risky surgery at 4 months old to remove a part of her skull to avoid severe brain damage, as well as Paris Trousseau Disorder, a rare blood disorder, making her surgery even more dangerous. She is also living with Autism, and despite all her challenges, she still believes that anything is possible - even walking your dog in the sky.
As part of The Drawing Hope Project, where I'm taking drawings done by children born or living with health conditions, and turning them into magical photos, starring the children themselves!

See the original drawings and read each child's story on the Facebook page or website. All the children are being transformed into "characters" who will then be featured in an upcoming storybook full of hope and inspiration.
