The Uçhisar Castle is the peak point of Cappadocia. It is the largest and loveliest fairy chimney which may be seen from all over Cappadocia. The summit of the castle is the only place from which Cappadocia can be watched with a bird’s eye view. All the valleys from the Güvercinlik Valley towards Avanos, the Ortahisar Castle, Göreme Village, Göreme Open Air Museum, Kılıçlar Valley, Kızılçukur (Red Valley), Güllüdere, Çavuşin, Boztepe, Aktepe, Avanos, i.e. the whole of Cappadocia lies before your eyes.

There are a vast number of carved-in urns, carved-in tombs and a large cistern on the summit of the castle. When you look down from the castle, you can see the Cevizli fairy chimneys in the north, Nevşehir and Mount Oylu in the west, new Uçhisar just in front of the castle and the summit of the Mount Hasan far away in the southeast.
