Second Vermillion Lake | Banff National Park 2012

I must say that for me in no offense meant, I would have corrected the tourism office and would aptly call this Vermillion swamp. The place was a major challenge to shoot, with muddy and filled with gooey stuff waters. Muscled-steroid induced mosquitos the size of fists were the major force to consider, I practically felt their sting even with long sleeve protection.

But this place offers a spectacular view of Mt. Rundle, the iconic landmark in Banff National Park. Sunset is the best time shoot this place, as the setting sun lights up Mt. Rundle. I had to go really low for this shot and had to endure the mosquito bites in the process. The weeds are grass and moss combined making it an interesting foreground.
