I am so thrilled to be on a steady pace now of releasing images from my trip to Europe. I was really excited to shoot this one because I got to use the gorgeous, breathtaking, amazing...did I say breathtaking??...Scottish countryside. I fell in love. I think my heart might still be back there in the rolling hills. I shot this in Scotland with an American girl and German bees...talk about a wide range of elements!

I was also excited about this piece because I used 2 new techniques to put it together. I taught myself a new way of "cutting things out", and I also did something different in-camera too. I shot the subject in focus, and then shifted focus to the background and shot that as well, all in the same spot. I put them together later so that it all looked in focus...a look I tend not to achieve, and usually don't want to. But these days I am reveling in learning new things and seeing what works for me and what doesn't.

I have spent my first week home from Europe being very quiet, just going on a couple of meetings but mostly keeping calm and resting. I have been writing a lot, editing a lot, and doing a massive amount of business planning. I've got new workshops in the works, as well as a new photo series that has me tingling inside every time I think about it :-)

Here is a closeup of this picture so you can see some detail.
