To spice up this little owl portrait I thought I'd give it the monochrome treatment. It's given it a bit of a studio feel I think, which some may not like, but I like the tones and the way the owl stands out against the background (which was a shaded area of trees). This was also pretty much the last photo I took before my D800 took a tumble briefly after and needed sending off for repair. Ouch.
