Welcome on an expedition in a historic landscape. Fjärås Bräcka offers unique opportunities
to study geological formations at close quarters, ancient remains and interesting animals
and plants. Trails lead you through beautiful decidouos woodlands and landscapes of cultural
signifi cance. This map provides tips about exciting sites and excursions.
Utsikten: A fantastic view where it is possible to see both the sea and Lake Lygnern from the same location.
Lygnern: Halland’s largest lake and famous for its clean water and unique stock of salmon trout.
Naturum: Café and exhibition centre. Information is available here as well as a folder with a map and nature
trail.
Ljunghed: Heather moorland that is maintained using traditional methods of recurrent burn-beating.
Limmahögarna: Burial mounds from the Bronze Age. The size and position of the mounds suggests that important
people have been buried here.
Svalhögen: A distinctly shaped gravel mound that is grazed by Scottish Highland Cattle. There is a grave-fi eld
here, along with prehistoric fi elds, rare insects and a rich fl ora.
Kolerakyrkogård: Burial ground for 48 people who died during a cholera epidemic in 1834.
Li gravfält: Halland’s largest grave-fi eld dating from the Iron Age.
