This one was taken on my most recent trip to the San Juan's of Colorado.
My eye's popped open at about 4:30am this morning and I couldn't fall back to sleep. I decided to take off and head to Clear Lake for some shooting.
It was cloudy, but not completely overcast so it looked promising. As I was shooting in the basin where Clear Lake is I hear a huge boom from a thunderstorm that was lying just over the mountain ridge.
When I made my retreat to lower grounds I was handsomely rewarded with this scene.
