-The Moon Woman to Lissar
Oh, Deerskin. You are a unending fount of inspiration. This photo goes along with my Deerskin Journey series, my ongoing project to create images inspired by Robin McKinley's book Deerskin. I talk about it all the time, I know, but it's because it's such a rare and powerful piece of art, that moves me more deeply than I can say.
A bit of artistic license was taken with how the Moon Woman appears, but only because I couldn't figure out how to portray her just as described. To me, the feel of this still says "Moon Woman" :)
