I found this beautiful dragonfly next to the pond in the Japanese Garden, one of the many lovely gardens at the Norfolk Botanical Garden in Norfolk, Virginia. It was a hot day and the dragonfly was trying to keep cool by raising its abdomen straight up in the obelisk pose.
