This is a retouch of one of my favorite images. The changes I've made are subtle, but I like it much more now - little stuff was bothering me every time I looked at the old one. Compared to the original upload, I've brought out more detail in the distant formations, balanced the overall saturation and contrast better, darkened the sky, fixed some natural haloing due to the distance between overlapping fg/bg elements, emphasized the glow of the sun a bit, and used a better web-sharpening algorithm.
This is a manual blend of three exposures: one for the sky, one for the sun/sunstar, and one for the landscape with my finger blocking the sun, since the 17-55mm flared so badly.
