I took this picture on September 11th, 2012. 11 years after 9/11. It was an amazing night and I feel lucky just to have been in New York to take it all in.

I stood on the Manhattan Bridge watching as One World Trade Center was lit in red, white, and blue and the 9/11 Memorial beams shot up into the heavens.

This picture doesn't really do the whole moment justice. It was powerful and sad and inspiring all at once. A sobering tribute to the thousands who lost their lives, and at the same time, an awesome reminder of how unified America can be when we're at our best.
