* shot at the wold heritage monument Taj Mahal.
It is said that the art of the Khara dupatta began with an invitation by the empress Noor Jehan to craft the noblest outfit that could be handed down from one generation to another.
Anand Kabra ‘s amazing outfit pays rich tribute to the Mughals with delicate zardozi work bordered with embroidered golden motifs in this piece.
I felt the exquisite outfit was a true reflection of our rich heritage and traditions. I decided I had to shoot this with the reflection of Taj Mahal. I spent hours at Taj Mahal trying to figure out what was the best time of the day to capture reflection of Taj Mahal in water at the central tank. I realized it wasn’t possible early morning and by the time there was enough light to take this shot, there were tourists everywhere that just couldn’t be managed and controlled.
Then it occurred to me, I just had to do a bit of manipulation and manage it by composing the shot in a way that tourists weren’t seen and after a little effort it worked- managing to get only the model and reflection of Taj Mahal. This, I feel, is one of my best shots inside Taj Mahal and also one of the most unique ones.
