Just looking back over some of your older works and discovered this gem. What a beauty! Such vibrant and rich hues, and the composition is outstanding. Sitting back in my chair, it's easy to say "Well worth the effort"!

Great shot James. I've seen dozens of photo's on here of Crater Lake and while most are great shots, they all tend to look the same and it get's old. I think this one is set apart by the time of day. Wizard Island completely shaded? It's almost unheard of because most try to make it the subject of the shot, but you went for some originality here and let the sunrise be the hero - definitely a good decision. Not only does it make this a unique shot and separates it from the rest, but it gives your viewers a new perspective on the landscape and that's what every great photographer tries to achieve. Well done! Voted!
