I would have to say that out of all of my photography trips, this viewpoint on the rim of Crater Lake was one of the most risky spots I have photographed. I decided to traverse this 2000 ft vertical face of "rock shad", to get to this composition. I almost slid down to the beach below!! This would have been a one way trip!! I was fortunate to get some nice light at sunrise.
