My thoughts:
Kozjak Waterfall in Slovenia close to Kobarid is one of those places where you temporarily disappear into a fictional world, designed by skilled Hollywood set artists on a big budget epic movie. Colours, textures, light, composition - it's all there, perfectly arranged, waiting for your camera and always smiling. This is landscape photographers' delight, incarnate. It isn't easy to get to, you'll have to walk about 45 mins uphill to reach it and if you're luggin
g a ton of camera gear, you'll wish you were a dentist. However, once you get there, you shall be redeemed...and then some.

More about this location:
The Kozjak brook, feeding the Soča river from the east (on the left), springs high beneath Mt. Krnčica (2142 m), and runs through many pools making six waterfalls. One of Slovenia’s most picturesque waterfalls, the Veliki Kozjak, was created in the outlet of the lower Korita of the Kozjak Brook.

Approximately 250 meters lower, the water falls again. Here, the waterfall carved an underground hall. Its bottom is covered by a vast blue and green pool, and its walls are reminiscent of those in the Karst caves. A 15 meter high white water column offers its visitors an unforgettable scenery.

Tech info: This shot was taken with 5D mk2, Canon 24mm TS-E lens fit with Heliopan 82mm CPL filter and Tiffen 4-stop ND filter. I created a combination of 7-exposure HDR mixed with digitally blended RAW shots to reduce that pseudo-painterly effect usually produced by HDR output. It may look 'unreal' still, but that's how i felt this scene when I was there. This is how it spoke to me.
