Okay - this is my contrarian shot of the summer. One of the most famous shots in Grand Teton National Park is Oxbow Bend at daybreak - taken shooting west from the overlook. This image was taken shooting east from the west bank.
My buddy Daryl L. Hunter and I were in search of moose near Cattlemen's Bridge and were at the opposite end of the Bend when these magical clouds appeared out of nowhere. Thus you see a shot taken directly opposite from the location of almost every shot ever taken at Oxbow Bend. I'm sure I heard a half dozen photographers cussing at us from across the water .... and we exited quickly after shooting off a few shots of the moment.
