My friends Danny Seidman and Koveh Tavakkol and I hiked up to this lake and waited for sunset. Unfortunately, it was completely clouded over so we had to guess where exactly the mountain would be, if the clouds decided to part. We watched in agony as the clouds turned brilliant red while the mountain was still hidden. Finally just after sunset the clouds started to clear, revealing a mountain that is always surprisingly larger than expected, and we were treated to some nice pastel light.
