For the Javanese, an annual event named nyadran or sadranan an expression of socio-religious reflection. This is done in the context of religious visit to the graves of the ancestors. This rite is understood as a form of preservation of cultural heritage and traditions of the ancestors. Nyadran in Javanese tradition is usually done in a given month, as before the month of Ramadan, is Sha'ban or Ruwah. Or whenever a family member felt the need to do so.
Nyadran an expression of piety and social expression in which a sense of mutual help, solidarity and togetherness being the main pattern of this tradition. This expression will ultimately result in a system of vertical-horizontal relationship more intimate.
