Grizz, according to the more experienced people that were present.

Nice shot Alex, I know exactly where this was taken, kudos for having the guts to hike out that far in the dark. I was in there back in September and saw a grizzly from the trail..I actually saw grizzlies on all the trails I hiked in Many Glacier that weekend...

And you kept your presence of mind enough to take a shot like this? Great composure, great processing.

Oh man this makes me want to go back!! This is so sick! I love the color of the lake and the whole scene is so peaceful. If you guys would have gone just a little further up and round the bend you would have seen all the bear grass. I remember stopping here for a couple shots. The rocks on the lower right were cool. Only bummer is how the two peaks stack up one behind the other, but you do get a nice look at the waterfall here. I remember how dry my throat was from yelling "hey bear" all the way home alone. It helps to have extra voices to trade off. Really really nice work here man.

Yeah, overall I like how the elements are laid out from here, but I *MUCH* prefer the way the peaks don't stack up from your vantage point - wish we'd made it up there. We figured the beargrass had just been on its way out when you were shooting, only to realize upon seeing your image a week later that we didn't go nearly far enough up.

I can relate to some degree Alex. I've had a couple of juvenile bears follow two friends and me down a creek for half a mile, always staying just within sight whenever we turned around. They had the idea that they needed the deer in my cousin's pack more than we did, but they never made a move on it.
