Shot this on my first day ever in Oregon this March, en route to my new home in Portland. I'm not the biggest fan of this angle of the lake, as the perspective on Wizard Island is much more interesting when you're right above it. However, I didn't have snowshoes, so a mile or mile and a half was about the maximum I was willing to trudge from Rim Village, sinking knee-deep in snow, after driving for 12 hours. With zero cloud/sky action, I turned to my usual fallback - the stars.
Landscape/sky exposure: 6 minutes, ISO 100, f/22, 2-stop GND over sky
Star exposure: 30 seconds, ISO 3200, f/4 (overlaid with Lighten layer)
