This is the font at Peterborough Catheral. It is placed so as to be the first thing you see on entering the cathedral by the West Door and theologically reminds us that one is baptised into the church.
The nave of this cathedral is 478ft (147m) long and 143ft (44m) high and the ceiling is the largest painted wood ceiling of its type in Europe.
